A section of platform face, suitable for creating a stone built platform on O gauge / 7mm scale layouts. Each piece of platform face is produced in white cast resin from our own masters and moulds. Each piece features random stone blocks, roughly faced and dressed - much easier than scribing your own from modelling clay! The ends of each piece have interlocking sections to avoid obvious joint lines in the finished model.
Each piece of platform measures approx. 240mm long x 31mm high.

Platforms constructed in this way were typical of many rural stations where local stone was plentiful and function was more important than grand architecture. They are also characteristic of light railways and branch line halts.
These castings can also be very effective when used as a general retaining wall or dockside / canal wharf.
Pieces paint well with either acrylic or oil based paints. The examples in the photos were painted mid grey then dry brushed with lighter shades of brown and grey to bring out the detail
