The tub wagon was once synonymous with quarrying and mining and the main rolling stock of many an industrial narrow-gauge system. Often moved by hand over temporary track to the working face for loading, then marshalled into rakes ready to be hauled away by the quarry loco to the crusher or for loading into standard gauge wagons at the interchange sidings. This freelance design of iron tub wagon was inspired by similar vehicles used in ironstone mining operations in North Oxfordshire up to the 1930s.

Approximate dimensions: length 52mm, width 31mm, height ARL 32mm.

The kit comprises a cast resin body and separate cast chassis unit with overlays for the pedestal bearings. Supplied with brass pinpoint bearings, the kit requires wheels (26mm pinpoint axles) and couplings to complete.
