Square Chimney Pots pack of 4 (BC01)
I initially produced these chimney posts to go on my own buildings that I produce as commissions and general sale. Following requests I am now making them available for sale on their own. These are supplied as a handy pack of 4.
They represent a square design, I would describe them as being large domestic in style, making them suitable for larger buildings, houses, station buildings and so on. Each pot is approx. 17mm tall, tapered, 9mm at the base and 6mm across the top.
The photos show examples of the unpainted chimney pots that you will receive, plus some painted examples on one of my models. To avoid confusion, the brick chimney stack and roof are not included in this sale, although parts for these can be supplied separately on request.
Round Chimney Pots pack of 4 (BC02)
These represent a plain round design, I would describe them as being short domestic in style, making them suitable for small dwellings, cottages, huts, outbuildings and so on. Each pot is approx. 10mm tall, tapered, 7mm at the base and 6mm across the top.
The photos show examples of the unpainted chimney pots that you will receive, plus some painted examples on one of my display models. To avoid confusion, the brick chimney stack and roof are not included in this sale, although parts for these can be supplied separately on request.
Twin Chimney Stack and Pots (BC03)
The pack contains a brick chimney stack with embossed brickwork and a pair of round chimney pots. Suitable for stations as well as domestic buildings in any situation where a pair of fireplaces would be close enough for their flues to share a single stack.
Supplied unpainted, dimensions of stack approx:- height 36mm (brick detail 28mm), width 26mm, depth 15mm. Pots 10mm x 7mm.
Single Chimney Stack and Pot - pack of 2 (BC04)
The pack contains a pair of brick style single chimney stacks with embossed brickwork and short round chimney pots. Suitable for stations as well as lineside huts, yard offices, domestic buildings etc.
Supplied unpainted, dimensions of stack approx:- height 38mm, width 12mm, depth 12mm (14mm at top). Pots 10mm x 7mm.
Stone Style Single Chimney Stack and Pot - pack of 2 (BC25)
The pack contains a pair of stone style single chimney stacks with embossed stonework and short round chimney pots. Suitable for stations as well as lineside huts, yard offices, domestic buildings etc.
Photographs show the parts you will receive plus a painted sample to show what a finished model could look like.
Supplied unpainted, dimensions of stack approx:- height 40mm, width 11mm, depth 11mm (13mm at top). Pots 10mm x 7mm.
4-Panelled Door set (BC05)
These cast resin doors were riginally produced for my lineside hut kits, following requests I am now making them available for sale on their own. These detailed castings feature a traditional style 4-panelled door, complete with door knob and door frame. To use these doors, simply make an opening in your building of 20mm x 44mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening, ready for painting. Supplied as a handy pack of 3 with door knobs on alternate sides for left and right hand opening doors. Ideal for models of station buildings, lineside huts and domestic houses.
Cottage Doors set (BC06)
These detailed castings feature a traditional boarded/ plank style door (ledged and braced), complete with door knob and door frame.
To use these doors, simply make an opening in your building of 20mm x 45mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening, ready for painting. The photos show the set of three doors, two plain and one with window, together with some images of the doors as used in the cottage kit (as shown on the Building Kits page).
Supplied as a handy pack of 3 with door knobs on alternate sides for left and right hand opening doors. Ideal for models of domestic houses, cottages, outbuildings, sheds etc.
Double Doors Panel Style pack (BC07)
These detailed castings feature a pair of traditional style 3-panelled doors, complete with door knobs and door frame.
To use these doors, simply make an opening in your building of 31mm x 49mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening, ready for painting.
Supplied as a handy pack of 2. Ideal for models of station buildings, waiting rooms, ticket offices and booking halls, or civic buildings such as a town hall or police station.
Planked 'Hut' Doors (BC16)
These castings feature a traditional style simple planked door, complete with door handle and door frame. To use these doors, simply make an opening in your building of 20mm x 42mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening, ready for painting. Supplied as a handy pack of 3. Ideal for models of lineside huts, garden sheds, outbuildings, stores etc.

Raised Panel Doors (BC26)
These detailed castings feature a traditional raised panel door, complete with door knob and door frame.
To use these doors, simply make an opening in your building of 22mm x 48mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening, ready for painting. The photos show a set of three doors similar to those supplied, plus a door in position on one of my station building kits to illustrate how they look when fitted.
Notice boards (BC08)
These detailed castings feature two different styles of notice board: a smaller plain board with frame and a larger framed board with an area at the top for a heading, such as the company initials or a sign such as 'Notices'. The sizes of each are approx. - 32mm x 23mm, and 29mm x 20mm.
Supplied as a handy pack of 4, two of each design. Ideal for completing models of station buildings, shops, walls and street scenes.
Slate Roof/ Roof Tiles Sheet (BC09)
These detailed castings have been prepared rom my own moulds and masters. They feature a fully textured roof tile / slate pattern common on older buildings where the slates are not so even, some are chipped, others have slipped a little. Careful painting followed by dry brushing will bring out all the detail in the castings.
This handy sized piece measures 210mm x 115mm each, making them ideal for medium sized projects such as small stations, houses, signal boxes, porters rooms, outbuildings etc. The resin sheet is easily cut to size, first scored with a heavy knife, then snapped.
The roof pieces were originally produced for my own range of kits and custom built buildings, I am now making them available for general sale.
The photographs show an example of the piece you will receive plus some pieces used on my cottage kit and on a recent loco shed commission. The crawling boards are a useful dodge for disguising a join between two pieces!
Medium Sliding Doors (BC10)
These detailed castings include plank and frame detail plus iron work with bolt heads. The doors are each 63mm tall x 42mm wide. The photos show the unpainted white castings that you will receive plus some images of the doors in use on a recent model to illustrate how they could look when installed on a building.
Ideal for factory premises, warehouses, goods depots, workshops etc.
Large Sliding Doors (BC11)
These detailed castings represent a typical large sliding door as often found on railway sheds and industrial premises. The doors feature plank and frame detail plus iron work with bolt heads. The doors are each 94mm tall x 56mm wide. The photos show the unpainted white castings that you will receive plus some images of the doors in use on a recent commission model to illustrate how they could look when installed on a building.
Ideal for loco sheds, factory premises, warehouses, goods depots, workshops etc.
Coal Bunker kit (BC12)
Once a common sight around the railway network on the trackside and in yards for storage of coal or ballast. This versatile kit can be used in a number of different ways on the layout. It could become part of a coal yard scene or just a coal store for a building or factory. In the permanent way compound it could be storing fresh ballast ready for re-sleepering work or measured shovel packing to sort out those dipped rail joints. In builders yards they could be found storing sand and gravel.
This kit comprises 8 detailed cast resin pieces, created from my own masters and moulds. The kit assembles quickly with superglue or general purpose adhesive to form a three sided structure. The additional uprights can then be added where they would be supporting the timbers. The pieces feature the typical splits and bolt holes characteristic of second hand railway sleepers, including imprints from where chairs had been previously fastened. Careful painting followed by dry brushing will help to bring out all the detail.
The photographs show the parts you will receive, plus a sample build unpainted, and then painted to illustrate how a finished model could look. Coal is not included.
Approximate dimensions: 68mm wide, 65mm deep, 30mm high.
Multiple kits can be joined together to create a longer model with several sections, perhaps for different coals in a coal merchants yard.
Pile of Sacks - 2 piles + 2 single sacks (BC14)
The pack contains two main resin castings representing 'piles' of sacks, plus two single sacks. This way the builder can use the single sacks to disguise the join when two main piles are put together, or just use them to add a little variety. You often see an odd sack on the top just thrown on, or perhaps stood at the side having slipped off.
The resin paints well with most common modelling paints and can be glued with superglue or general purpose adhesive.

Packing Cases - pack of 6 (BC13)
Packing cases such as these go back to a time before the widespread use of cardboard boxes and polystyrene, when even relatively small items were packed up in timber crates for shipping. The company joiner being kept busy producing packing cases to the exact sizes required.
The pack contains 6 detailed resin castings representing different sizes of timber packing case or crate. The castings feature wooden plank detail and nail heads. Some have address / consignment labels. The largest case is approx. 24mm x 17mm, the smallest 17mm x 14mm. They are all 10mm high to allow prototypical stacking.
The resin paints well with most common modelling paints and can be glued with superglue or general purpose adhesive.
Ideal for good sheds, station scenes as well as wagon and lorry loads.

Timber sleeper fence/retaining wall/Coal yard shuttering etc (BC15)
The re-use of redundant timber sleepers was common practice for the old railway companies. Frequently they were used were a quick and cheap wall or fence was needed, common examples include forming bunkers and shuttering in coal yards, retaining walls to hold back small earth works and track side fences on the boundary of railway property. Often construction was simply by means of digging a trench and setting the sleepers on end, edge to edge before back filling. Who said recycling was a new idea!
This kit comprises 3 detailed cast resin pieces, created from my own masters and moulds. The kit assembles quickly with superglue or general purpose adhesive to form a wall of approx. 200mm long and max. height 31mm.
The three separate pieces have been created to allow for flexibility, perhaps being formed into a three sided coal bin rather than a long wall. The resin works easily with common modelling tools and can be easily sawn to allow adjustment and modification.
The pieces feature the typical splits and bolt holes characteristic of second hand railway sleepers including imprints from where the chairs had been previously fastened. Careful painting followed by dry brushing will help to bring out all the detail.
The pieces feature wood detail on both sides, so will look just as good from any angle

Sash Windows - pack of 3 (BC17)
These detailed castings feature a traditional style 4-pane window with sash detail. To use these windows, simply make an opening in your building of 20mm x 30mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening. Paint separately and when dry, apply a little glue to the border area and attach to the model. The border remains hidden behind the wall.
Supplied as a handy pack of 3. Ideal for models of station buildings and domestic houses.

Casement Windows - pack of 3 (BC18)
These detailed castings feature a traditional style 6-pane window in the casement style (side opening). To use these windows, simply make an opening in your building of 24mm x 32mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening. Paint separately and when dry, apply a little glue to the border area and attach to the model. The border remains hidden behind the wall.

These detailed castings feature a traditional style 16 pane window as commonly found in larger industrial buildings.
To use these windows, simply make an opening in your building of 42mm x 30mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening. Paint separately and when dry, apply a little glue to the border area and attach to the model. The border remains hidden behind the wall.

6-pane Windows - pack of 3 (BC20)
These detailed castings feature a traditional style 6-pane fixed window. To use these windows, simply make an opening in your building of 48mm x 21mm, then glue the casting in position behind the opening. The frame will then locate into the opening. Paint separately and when dry, apply a little glue to the border area and attach to the model. The border remains hidden behind the wall.

These detailed cast resin sheets have been prepared rom my own moulds and masters. Careful painting followed by dry brushing will bring out all the detail in the castings. My patterns for these building sheets are entirely hand made as I believe it enables the creation of textures far superior to many computer manufactured methods such as laser cutting or 3d printing.

Corrugated Shed Parts
These detailed cast resin modular building sides have been prepared from my own moulds and masters. They feature a fully textured surface including prototypical overlapping sheets both upwards and across. These represent both traditional corrugated iron structures or the later corrugated cement asbestos cladding widely used on industrial buildings. Careful painting followed by dry brushing will bring out all the detail in the castings.
To make a complete shed structure as illustrated you would need 2x BC27A corrugated side wall packs, 2x BC24 Corrugated cladding sheets, 1x BC27B corrugated shed front with doors, 1x BC27C Corrugated shed plain gable end, detailed below.
The photographs show an example of the pieces you will receive, and an example of these pieces being used in the construction of a corrugated shed.
Side wall pack with windows (BC27A)
Supplied with a pair of separate window castings (also available as BC19 industrial windows).
Each handy sized piece measures 208mm x 92mm, making them ideal for scratch building medium sized construction projects. Each piece is roughly 2mm thick. The resin sheet is easily cut to size, first scored with a heavy knife, then snapped. Colour may vary.
The roof makes use of the BC24 corrugated cladding sheet, cut to size.
Gable end with sliding doors (BC27B)
Supplied with a pair of doors and a strip of styrene card to form the cover to the sliding runners.
Each front doorway piece overall measures 152mm wide, 130mm high to the ridge. The doorway opening is 76mm wide x 81mm high (suitable for Narrow gauge rolling stock or road vehicles). This module could be used on its own for a single shed, or grouped together side by side to create a multi gable shed or warehouse . Each piece is roughly 2mm thick. Colour may vary from that shown
The roof makes use of the BC24 corrugated cladding sheet, cut to size.
Plain gable end (BC27C)
Each gable end piece overall measures 152mm wide, 130mm high to the ridge. This module could be used on its own in a single shed, or grouped together side by side to create a multi gable shed or warehouse . Each piece is roughly 2mm thick. Colour may vary from that shown.
Stone Bridge Low Relief Pack (BC28)
This is a low relief version of my stone bridge kit (BK25) comprising components for just a single front face such as might be used at the rear of a layout against a back board. The resin is easily worked with common modelling tools and more adventurous modellers may spot opportunities for modification or 'Kit bashing' to suit their own needs. The parts are designed to be modular, allowing multi arch structures to be built, the join being covered by the vertical pillars.
This kit of detailed cast resin components has been produced from my own masters and moulds. The kit features individually textured stonework . The parts assemble quickly using superglue or general purpose adhesive to create a single structure with a width of approx. 235mm. Arch width 140mm.
